The Death of Adolf Hitler : Unknown Documents from Soviet Archives.
London: Michael Joseph, 1968. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition / Very Good Condition. Item #521058
ISBN: 0718106342
114 pages, several photographs. The book is based on material from Soviet archives and includes accounts of the alleged autopsies of Adolf Hitler, Eva Braun, Joseph and Magda Goebbels, their children, and General Hans Krebs. According to these Soviet reports, all of them died by cyanide poisoning, a conclusion that contradicts the consensus of Western historians, who maintain that Hitler died by gunshot after taking poison.Bezymenski’s book appeared at a time when rumours, contradictory eyewitness accounts, and Cold War disinformation were widespread. The Soviets had previously implied that Hitler may have used a body double, and the book reflects these ambiguities. Original green cloth, gilt lettered. With a slightly marked dustwrapper. Contents clean. Size: 15 x 23 cms. Category: Varied Books; New Arrivals; ISBN: 0718106342. ISBN/EAN: 9780718106348.
