London: InSite Arts, 2008. Hardcover. Fine Condition. Item #519264

Cabot Circus, adjacent to Bristol's Broadmead district, opened in September 2008 after a decade of planning and construction costing £500 million. InSite Arts began working with the Bristol Alliance in 2001 to shape the public art strategy for Cabot Circus, a programme that combined permanent and temporary commissions. At its centre was a major residency initiative: the BS1 Project. Developed by Neville Gabie, artist in residence during the three?year construction, and supported by Arts Council England South West, BS1 appointed six artists to respond to the site's transformation from building works to retail destination. Their residencies produced a series of socially engaged interventions, documented in a series of publications. 144 pages, fully illustrated in colour throughout. Apparently unread. Size: 17.5 x 23.5 cms. Category: Varied Books; This item may require more postage than the rates shown for delivery outside the UK.
