An original colour print from The Marigold Garden. The representation of children in imaginary Queen Anne style 18th-century costumes proved extremely popular, creating the Kate Greenaway style which was influential in many design fields of the late Victorian era. The printing by Edmund Evans was based upon chromoxylography, by which process the original painting colours were meticulously printed from hand-engraved wood blocks. Image size approx. 15 x 20 cms.
