Criminal information filed by the Attorney General against the publisher and proprietor of a newspaper in which a statement to the effect that George 4th was insane, had been published from authority. The defendants' counsel admitted that the statement was untrue, but alleged that it was founded on rumours generally believed, and that it was a statement made in respectful language, and without malicious intention as to a matter of the highest public concern.
