Your business is important to us, and we believe this FAQ should have the answers to most questions.
DELIVERY SCHEDULE - We usually despatch within the two days following your order, ie a Friday order may not go out until Tuesday, and then you need to allow a little time for delivery.
Typical delivery times - UK 3-5 working days.
Europe 7-10 working days.
USA & Rest of World 10-14 working days.
Do please remember that we have no control over the postal systems around the world, and if you do not receive your package in a timely fashion we know from experience that the postal service do not always leave a card, and you should check in person (not by phone) with your local sorting office (usually not the same as your local post office) and any other place that the package could be held for you. Our packaging and labelling is very clear and of good quality and "missing" packets are routinely returned to us by the post office marked "uncollected". Do check and allow a little time before becoming too concerned.
CANCELLATION OF ORDERS - As a fast despatch discount seller we process all customers orders in an automated system and we are unable to separate orders out from this system for cancellation. Whilst this may be frustrating we believe it allows us to give the high quality fast service customers demand of us. If you wish, you may return your order for a refund. Further details on returns are given below.
AVAILABILITY & CONDITION - The availability of items are as shown on the website you were browsing and buying through. Sometimes goods do sell out on other sites and we update our data as quickly as possible to reflect this. In the event of stock being unavailable you will very quickly receive a full refund to your account and confirmation of this by email. With regard to condition of goods this is as shown on the website you were browsing and buying through. In the unlikely event that you do have a problem please get in touch as we will be very happy to resolve it for you as quickly as we can.
RETURNS - We want you to be happy. Very happy. If you don't like the item when it arrives, just let us know, and arrange to send it back within thirty days. We'll cheerfully refund your purchase price. Just remember to pack as well as we do.

1. What condition are your books in ?
Everything is fully described - indeed we often take 50 to a 100 words describing books, sometimes more. If there's less it's simply because there is nothing more to say - the description is self evident. We certainly don't sell books that we wouldn't want on our own shelves at home, which seems like a good criteria to meet. Occasionally older books (usually 100+ years) will be more worn, but again they are very fully described.
2. How can I pay ?
We make that pretty easy for you - you can use PayPal to pay on this site, and Visa, Mastercard, American Express & Discover cards via the secure checkout.
3. Is it safe to use your order form ?
Absolutely. The web site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. We use 128-bit SSL encryption to protect your financial information.

The ideal method to reach us is by email, as that way we can physically check the availability of any books, or prepare any answers for you properly.
5. How will my books be sent ?
Within the UK we usually send everything by first class mail (weight permitting). To Europe, the USA, Canada, and everywhere else in the world we post by Airmail. We never use surface - it's too slow, and we do NOT charge extra for airmail, so please don't worry about it. Our postage rates are amongst the lowest in the business, but our delivery rates are amongst the quickest in the business.
6. Will they be safely packed ?
Yes. Our packing materials are designed to survive in the post. We've pretty well seen everything the postal services can do to a package and designed our service to avoid it. We wrap with bump proof corners, water proof wraps, multiple address labels (inside and out), and unbreakable fibre tapes to seal the packs. We're probably leaders in our field at this. Your books are guaranteed to arrive safely (& quickly). See below for more about our guarantee.
7. Do you give a guarantee ?
Of course. We want you to be happy. Very happy. If you don't like the book when it arrives, just let us know, and arrange to send it back. We'll cheerfully refund your purchase price. Just remember to pack as well as we do, and get a proof of postage of course. However, we don't think you will need to return anything from our stocks, as we said above we do take trouble to describe well, pack well, and ship to you promptly.
Always. We do not share our customer lists with anyone, ever.
Our site uses an order form for customers to request information, products, and services. We request website visitor contact information (name, address, and email address) and financial information (payment information to make purchases). Contact information from the order form is used to ship orders to you. Customer contact information is used only to contact you when necessary. We collect no Financial information about customers.
